Our stay at Jack Cottage was absolutely perfect! Jo & Rob are the most welcoming and kind hosts and they made our stay so wonderful. The cottage is stunning, as is the property and it was the perfect location for me to stay before and after my wedding. Their beautiful dog Wombat also visited which was just the best! I couldn’t recommend Jack Cottage enough and I will treasure the memories I made there forever.

A gorgeous and homely cottage, highly recommended! Jo, Rob and their dog Wombat made us feel very welcome. The cottage is situated amongst their beautiful garden (the photos don't do justice!), beautifully styled, homely and all that you'll need inside. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the deck with our coffees each morning taking in our surroundings or cosy inside where Jo and Rob made sure was already warm on our arrival. Conveniently located but secluded at same time. Perfect for couples or a small family trip such as ours, our daughters loved it too (and thanks for the yummy biscuits awaiting us!) Jo and Rob have a piece of paradise that they generously share with their guests. The cottage is picture perfect, cosy and comfortable for a family or a small group. All the special touches have been well thought of and everything from sheets, towels and Japanese stoneware is beautiful and high quality. We especially enjoyed the access to the garden and outdoor play set. I would highly recommend a stay here to enjoy some tranquility while also being close enough to peninsula attractions.

They welcomed us with open arms into their unique, beautiful and tranquil cottage.
We really enjoyed having this place to come back to after exploring what the Mornington Peninsula has to offer.
The cottage was very tidy, clean and organised and overall was a great experience. The location is within 20 minute drive to all tourist attractions which was perfect.
On top of the amazing cottage and experience, it was lovely starting our visit with a friendly welcome and goodbye from their adorable dog Wombat.
Honestly, Jo and Rob are so lovely and down to earth, you will definitely enjoy your stay! And leading up to the stay, they had great communication for what to expect and how to check in. We are so keen to come back to Jack Cottage!

Really loved our stay at Jo & Robs. Such a lovely, cosy cabin with everything you need. Beautiful garden setting! Once in cabin, it very private. Around the side, you have your own really lovely deck that’s also very private. Jo is really lovely! Beds were firm, but very comfortable. My daughter said it was the best sleep she’s had in years. Definitely recommend!

What a great spot to stay.
Everything you need under the one roof & everything else is just outside the back doors.
We enjoyed cooking a nice breakfast & taking in the quiet mornings on the back deck overlooking a beautiful garden.
Do yourself a favour & give Jack Cottage a go. You won’t regret it.

Jack Cottage is a beautiful spot for a trip away from the hustle & bustle of the everyday. The cottage and its surrounds have a very peaceful feel that allow you to switch off, very much attributed to their thoughtful & aesthetic design choices.
Do note that there are no kitchen essentials provided (apart from tea, coffee & milk) so be prepared to bring or buy everything needed to cook with (e.g. oil, margarine, spices, etc).

Such a little gem and perfect for families with young children. We were lucky to have great weather and were able to have breakfast and afternoon tea by the deck facing the beautiful garden. My kids loved exploring the garden and seeing the beautiful birds. It was nice to find a mini play set in the garden too! A great base for those wanting to explore the Mornington Peninsula.

Beautiful space that was lovingly decorated with a vintage touch. The house felt like something right out of a fairytale and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We especially loved the outdoor deck where we could sit and soak in the sights and sounds of the countryside. Jo & Rob were very welcoming and even baked us a delicious loaf of bread on our arrival.

Do yourselves a favour and book this getaway ASAP! It has everything you could want on a little getaway. Whether it be a romantic few nights away, or a rustic adventure with the kids, it’s perfect for all. The gardens are amazing, the recycled nature of the design and decor is timeless and you’ll never forget your stay here.

The sweetest cottage with the sweetest owners! I stayed here for the weekend of my wedding with my bridesmaids and WOW! Not only was the place absolutely gorgeous and relaxing Jo and Rob made it an absolute breeze with everyone coming and going with cars they just made the weekend so relaxing and I can’t thank them enough! If you are looking for a little get away or for somewhere to get ready for a wedding I would absolutely recommend this gorgeous cottage

Wow, Jo & Rob are so amazing. We had an issue fitting our porta cot and they made it work for us. They were so helpful and friendly and our little 1 year old loved them too. It’s such a beautiful property. We loved waking up and having a tea on the patio. The cottage is quaint with very thoughtful touches. Everything you need for a beautiful weekend. We stayed here for our wedding and had lovely photos taken of the groomsmen. Thank you again for hosting us!

Everything you read and see about Jack cottage is true and then some. We loved the rustic and charming decor and how Jo and Rob had poured love into every aspect of the cottage.
The location is fantastic, close enough that things were only a short drive away but secluded enough that it felt like we were in another world.
I’d really recommend taking a walk through the gardens because they are beautiful. One day I set up with a rug, a good book and the sun and it was pure bliss!! I even got a cuddle from wombat who came to enjoy the sun.
Honestly could not recommend Jo and Rob anymore. Book this cottage, you will not regret it!

I highly recommend staying at Jack Cottage. So beautiful and cozy. Love the rustic feel the cottage gives. My stay was wonderful due to such amazing hosts. Sommerville was a great location, lots of shops and restaurants near by. Will definitely be back soon in summer.

It was a five minute drive from a wedding we attended and such a short drive to Mornington for a great meal.
The beds were so comfortable and the cottage cosy, clean and delightful.

Jo and Rob's cottage is really a rare find and I'm so pleased we were able to spend our Easter weekend here. The cottage is exactly as described and the garden around the cottage is wonderful! We enjoyed an Easter egg hunt around the lawn, had dinner al fresco on the balcony every night, and loved the attention of Wombat the dog. Also, a special mention for the comfiest bed we've had at an AirBnB. Highly recommend!

We booked Jack’s Cottage for my parents and they enjoyed it so much! They loved every little part of the cottage, especially how unique it was with its special touches. Everything about the cottage is gorgeous and you just want to take photos of everything! Jo and Rob were kind and friendly to them both, as well as myself and my sisters who came down to visit my parents. Their garden is beautiful too, and my parent’s favourite part was the outdoor area, which was completely private, quiet and relaxing. Beyond this, Jo and Rob recommended us local cafes and we were able to pat their cute dog, who made our day. Definitely recommend for a cute little getaway!

It really is the sweetest place. The decor and surrounding gardens help you instantly unwind. There are so many charming elements of this property - from the gorgeous back decking and lawn area, the super luscious doona on the main bed, and the beautiful plates and mugs to eat and drink from. I usually don't enjoy staying on site with the owners of the property because I like my privacy, but I didn't see Jo & Rob unless I needed them, and when I did it was a joy. The property is close to a large array of local shops (5 min away), and my baby daughter & I took a trip to the Moonlit Sanctuary which was just a 10 min drive away. A very convenient spot to explore this side of the Peninsula.

We came to Jack’s cottage for a restful weekend and we loved it.
The cottage is the perfect space to relax after a day of seeing sights around the peninsula and swimming at the beach.
There are beautiful spots only 10 mins away and if you’re willing to drive mins there are endless sights, swimming spots abs activities.
Jo and Robb gave great suggestions for the local area and all were superb.
We especially loved swimming at Point Leo surf beach and our afternoon at Montalto winery.

The cottage is absolutely gorgeous with a wonderful deck to dry your bathers and enjoy your breakfast. The garden, full of orchids and natives, is a paradise and watching the trains go past is a delight.
It features a comfy and cute lounge room with beautiful master bedroom and cute bunks, and a modern and functional bathroom and kitchen.

As hosts, Jo and Rob were tremendously welcoming, and we enjoyed our occasional interactions with them throughout our stay - especially our two-year-old who adored Wombat the dog, and was quite taken with Rob's ride-on lawnmower! A beautiful cottage with lots of attention to detail and little touches, set within a gorgeous landscaped garden. The fragrance of all the different plants and birdsong adds to the tranquility, and Jo included cut roses in various spots inside the cottage. Very soothing on all the senses. Beds were comfy with great linen. We loved our stay and will do it again.
Also highly recommend booking a massage with Debbie at Beauty Exposed Boutique - was just what we needed.

I recently stayed for 1 week with my wife and 2 girls. We enjoyed our stay immensely. The decor was beautifully and the cabin felt warm and comfortable. The property was great and provided a good base to explore the attractions of the peninsula. It was also a great place to just hang out in our down time. My girls enjoyed playing on the swings, basketball and toasting marshmallows on the fire pit. Both Jo and Rob were such great host and lovely people. I would definitely recommend to anyone considering staying here. Great all round experience.

The hosts supply a wide variety of teas and coffee to start each morning and gifts their guests eye masks and lavender pillow spray to ensure a restful evening. The cottage in itself is so cozy but the highlights don’t stop there. The grounds of Jack’s cottage are beautiful; filled with several different gardens for guests enjoyment. Weather you want to sit enjoy the beautiful sunrises, read a book, drink a glass a wine or watch the sunsets the gardens are the perfect setting. Whether you are looking for an escape from the city or it’s your first time in Melbourne choosing to explore the Mornington Peninsula is a must and staying at Jack’s Cottage is the best place to stay. Like finding gold at the end of the rainbow the approach to Jack's Cottage had us thinking that perhaps the address was wrong, but suddenly we were far from the madding crowd in a fabulous and fabulously equipped cottage in the beautiful gardens of Jo and Rob's home. Freshly baked, home-made bread and tomatoes from the garden were nice touches too. Highly recommended.

We had such a gorgeous time away - the home is beautiful - the light in the kitchen is superb and felt so relaxing looking out onto the beautiful trees and garden. We came in January and the weather was perfect so ate every meal out on the deck - just need some repellent as the mozzies also loved the deck come dusk!
Lots of special touches - the soap and cookies and champers, eye masks - and the bed was super comfortable.
Rob and Jo were amazing hosts - very welcoming and helped me out on the first night as I'd forgotten a few things to make dinner. Would love to go back and spend longer - there are great walks in the area.

What a wonderful stay. Jack Cottage is beautiful, peaceful, relaxing and nourishing. And the location was fantastic - we would normally look to stay at the beach when down at the Peninsula, but found staying in Somerville to be perfect - 10 minutes to Hastings, 20 mins to the beaches of Somers and Merricks, Point Leo, Mt Martha or Mornington. We saw parts of the Peninsula we wouldn't normally get to, and then got to return home to the gentle luxury of Jack Cottage and a very warm welcome from the glorious Wombat the resident Blue Heeler. Thank you Jo and Rob for everything. From the home-made biscuits to the eye masks, pillow spray and beautiful fresh roses left for us it is clear that the comfort of your guests is very important to you. A much needed recharge THE BEST! Book it, you won't be sorry!!

Beautiful, quirky space in a slice of heaven in the peninsula area. Jack Cottage is such a well decorated space that has all the amenities and just an hour away from the CBD. Truly a gem. A lot of heart and effort has been put into the cozy, compact cottage. Spacious garden. There's a train that runs through nearby, but didn't bother us much. Great base to visit nearby wineries and restaurants, and just to relax.

I stayed her over Easter with my parents and hubby. It’s comfortable and cosy. The bunk room is small but we had two adults in there. It’s a quaint little space and they’ve managed to fit a lot into it, so you lack nothing. The verandah over looks a neat and quiet front yard and country outlook. Birds are busy in gum trees all day. Wombat is their very cute blue heeler dog. We all loved our stay. Everything was thought of. It was relaxing and a great location to venture out to the amazing surrounding area for food, beaches, island hopping and walks for all levels of fitness, and it was great to come back to at the end of a long adventurous day.
